The apartment is open-plan, with a well-equipped kitchen integrated into the living space, making it ideal for someone who enjoys cooking without being cut off from the room. The bathroom is generously proportioned, with a walk-in rain shower and a separate corner bath. A small south-facing balcony provides an outdoor perch. Sleeping arrangements The master bedroom has an extra-long king-size bed; the second bedroom a queen. Both rooms have built-in cupboards. Location Three Anchor Bay sits at the quieter end of the Sea Point strip, close to everything without the noise. The Sea Point promenade is a five-minute walk; Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Clicks and other shops are equally close. Virgin Active is ten minutes on foot. A MyCiTi bus stop is directly outside the building, making it easy to get around the city without a car. On-street parking is available behind the building. Working from home The apartment has fibre-to-the-home internet and a dedicated workspace. Practical details Electricity is via prepaid meter; an initial allocation is included, with the tenant responsible for consumption thereafter. A cleaner is provided once a month; additional visits can be arranged privately at the tenant's expense. A note on the cats Two friendly cats live here, hence the flat is not pet-friendly to other pets. They're very much at home — and if you're a cat person, you'll have good company. That said, if you'd prefer the flat without them, they can be housed with a neighbour downstairs for the duration of your stay. If you have a cat of your own, they would be welcome. There are many cats in this complex and mine will be happy lodging with the neighbour if you are bringing a cat or just don't want them around. Do please bear in mind, however, that even with thorough cleaning, the flat will carry traces of cat hair and dander; it would not be suitable for anyone with an allergy or sensitivity to pets. A note on accessibility This is an Art Deco building built in the 1930s. There are no lifts and this flat is on the second floor. Access is by stairs front and back; therefore it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or difficulty with stairs.
